The concept for the showroom was to create a domestic space that referenced the kitchen, and which could showcase the whole product range. Against a soft grey palette, references such as wood panelling, a shaker style kitchen, dining table and kitchen dresser informed the design.

A former antiques shop with a ground floor and basement level, the entire space required a complete refurbishment. The existing external facade was stripped and replaced, with Falcon-blue branding hand-painted to the shutter and fascia.

Kiwi & Pom proposed a calming palette to allow the Falcon product to stand out. The use of wooden furniture and refurbished floorboards give the space warmth and a domestic feel.

Working with the height of the space, Kiwi & Pom designed a high level desk – to also be used as a standing desk - and a shaker style perimeter pelmet that showcased a hanging textile display.

Falcon Showroom

In 2015, Falcon Enamelware required an environment design for their first showroom in Clerkenwell, London.  A former antiques shop in need of a complete refurbishment, the compact space needed to combine a product showroom that could display the whole product range, with a workspace for the growing team.

Kiwi & Pom created a concept design influenced by the kitchen with the aim to achieve a ‘lived-in’ aesthetic, using the Falcon product range to inform the scheme, alongside references such as wood panelling, shaker style kitchen, dining table and kitchen dresser.

A calm palette of soft greys was proposed, allowing the enamelware and textile product to stand out. The neutral look and feel of the space is warmed by refurbished floorboards and wooden furniture.

Outside the showroom on street level, the existing external facade was stripped back and replaced, with Falcon-blue lettering hand-painted to the fascia, and lit by new lamps.  The shutter was branded with the Falcon marque, giving the façade personality and purpose when the showroom is closed. A custom-made oak bench is positioned outside the showroom window, extending the design story outside.

A flexible window system was designed using a plywood stage set and block plinths, that could be arranged in any orientation to suit seasonal displays. Kiwi & Pom are also responsible for the design and art direction of the showroom window displays – the first seasonal window launched in March 2016, introducing a spring display of enamelware bearing beautiful bulbs and cuttings.
